Kumina joins the Cloud Native Computing Foundation and the Linux Foundation!

Kumina joined the Cloud Native Computing Foundation and the Linux Foundation as a silver member.

“We specialise in Linux and open source software since day one and started working with Docker and Kubernetes in its early days. Joining the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and the Linux Foundation demonstrates our commitment to keep contributing to the Kubernetes ecosystem and to the spirit of open source in general. Last year, along with names such as Canonical, Huawei, IBM and Bitnami, we also joined the Kubernetes Certified Service Partner program. The KCSP is a pre-qualified tier of vetted service providers who have extensive experience helping enterprises successfully adopt Kubernetes.

Most of the of the CNCF members and KCSP companies are tech giants that focus on building ready-to-go Kubernetes platforms or help companies migrating to Kubernetes. We decided to keep focussing on our core business: building and managing tailor-made IT solutions with a strong focus on continuous extended support. More than a decade of practical experience has taught us time and again that a flexible approach is the best way to go; every company and online environment is different. That is why we do not believe in offering standard packages or solutions, which is common in the industry. Our managed Kubernetes solutions are similar to our other managed service solutions: they are fully customised and include ongoing maintenance, monitoring, unlimited support hours and optional 24/7 support. This way we help our customers succeed with Kubernetes without having to become specialists themselves.” – Tim Stoop, director of Kumina b.v.

About the Linux Foundation and the Cloud Native Computing Foundation

The Linux Foundation founded in 2000, is dedicated to building sustainable ecosystems around open source projects to accelerate technology development and commercial adoption. The Cloud Native Computing Foundation was founded in 2015 to promote containers. CNCF serves as the vendor-neutral home for many of the fastest-growing projects on GitHub, including Kubernetes, Prometheus and Envoy, fostering collaboration between the industry’s top developers, end users, and vendors.
